I am SO obsessed with this song. It's the first song I ever "loved" on Last.fm. True story! It frickin' rules. Her voice is AWESOME. I read somewhere someone compared her to Neko Case. I love Neko! I once picked her up - I mean physically, not in a sexual way. Yup. I do that. When I've been drinking I get this super strength and like to go around picking people up. Anyway Best Coast PLEASE come play in London - I will love you long time.

It's like everyone remembers where they were on Sept 11th or when JFK died (apparently I wasn't alive then). I will always remember I was watching Veronica Falls in Brixton when MJ died. So random. They've been together less then a year and have toured with Vivian Girls and played more London gigs than my band has probably played in the last 4 years! I'm expecting good things from Veronica Falls in 2010. I did actually have to put my 2010 recommendations down for some BBC thing and this was one of my choices.

I saw these guys the other week and they look like a group of highschool friends who've started a band, a couple geeky looking ones, one that looks like he probably gets all the girls, half the band more fashionably dressed than the other half. One of those kind of bands. Anyway - the singer dresses like Bobby Beaton from the Gruesomes and that can't be a bad thing. They are also playing with Best Coast in Leeds on May 10th. It's all coming together full circle.

I have a friend named Andy Brown he plays drums in a band called Divorce. He also used to be in the aforementioned Sexy Kids. On Christmas day he was bored and put together a massive list of his favourite songs of 2009. This song was on there between mostly noisey Comanechi guitar bands. I really like it.
