Seperated by Motorways it their brand new single out now (as of Dec 12) on Good and Evil (Paul Epworth aka Phones' new label), and this is the b-side to said single. The Long Blondes are by far one of the best bands in the country at the moment. The Organ - Let the Bells Ring

Katie - vox Shelby - drums Ashley - bass Jenny - organ Linda - manager Deb - guitar
I know the Organ is compared to the Smiths, Joy Division, The Cure, all 80s gloom wave all the time and it would be pointless and boring to bring up one of those comparisons now BUT this song is so Smiths like there is seriously nothing else you can compare it to you. Katie croons exactly like Morrissey even throwing in a "bloody" to the lyrics to add a bit of extra English-ness. Deb's guitar sounds like she is taking lessons from Johnny himself. Let the Bells Ring is the most recent Organ release, a 7" out on Cinerama's label Go Metric . It was sold out on their most recent tour of England, showing the fans are clamouring for anything new by this band and are getting impatient! They've got a new bass player, Katie's younger sister Shmoo, after a string of bass player issues. Their first bass player, Sarah Sketch, quit to put more time into other interests, Ashley was kicked out last year, then trying out new bass players wasn't going anywhere so Ashley never really left but now she has quit. Sounds like my old band which hasn't been able to keep a permanent bass player since they kicked me out 5 years ago (they are on their 5th since me). The bass is a cursed instrument!
