Love Is All - Talk Talk Talk Talk
Love Is All
Nicholaus - guitar/vox Fredrik - saxophone Markus - drums Johan - bass guitar Josephine - vox/keys

Universally agreed, this band is AWESOME! From Gothenburg, Sweden. This is the first track from their debut "Nine Times that Same Song" which can be found on What's Your Rupture?. Expect Love Is All madness to ensue through 2006 as they conquer indie hearts everywhere.

Tralala - All Fired Up
Tralala
Chris - guitar noises/regrets Nicole - vox/resident booze hound Erin - vox/class clown and blonde bombshell Liane - vox/prep obsessed brainiac Stella - vox/organ sounds/earth angel Marty - bass madness/beer manager Josh - percussion punk/team captain

This is off of their S/T debut out on Audika Records. It came out last summer. It's very Banana Splits but I guess that is just the name. A HUGE band with 7 members, this Brooklyn troop is going to need a big van to tour or possibly two.

Damn Arms - Test Pattern
Damn Arms
Yama Indra - vox/synth Simon Parker - drums Ian Jackson - guitar Tim Sullivan - vox/bass

This Melbourne based band has been around for less than a year and they are already on a UK tour with Testicicles, released an EP "Patterns" on Timberyard, and toured nationally in their homeland with The Kills. Quite a lot really in only 10 months from their original jam. They are named after a line that Fry said in Futurama. What a random reference?! I hope that's true.

Fake Cops - Sir, You're Not Blowing
Fake Cops
Jordan - guitar Andy - bass Ian - drums Jon - guitar/vox

Calgary, angular punk band blah blah. Currently recording a new album as we speak. This is from their 5-song EP 2004 entitled, "Absolutely Your Credit Is Excellent, But In A Certain Way, We Also Need Cash." Apparently they jam in the basement of a juice shop.

Bricolage - The Waltzer
Bricolage
Andy Brown - drums Wallace Meek - guitar/bass/vox Graham Wann - guitar/vox Darren Cameron - bass/keys/vox

Andy Brown is a band slut! Haha, now that I've gotten that out of the way... sesriously though he is from Glasgow but did spend some time in Leeds playing in bands, his last band that I'm aware of was an amazing band called Michael Dracula. Unfortunately I don't think Michael did anything much other than play a few shows and then break up. Oh, how I would love to have some recordings of theirs!! If you have some please send them along! Bricolage (which apparently means DIY in French) formed in 2005 and are playing a slew of shows in London and Glasgow in the next few months. Check out their myspace for more info. Oh, and Franz Ferdinand played them on the Beeb.

Operation Makeout - Buckles and Sneers
Operation Makeout
Katie - vox/guitar Jesse - bass/backing vox Anna - drums

Ok, this band doesn't really exist anymore. They haven't actually played a show in about 3 years! But music doesn't go stale like old cheese so why not play some recently out of date indie rock? This song is from their First Base EP which came out in 2001 on Mint Records. I once worked the kissing booth at an Operation Makeout show. I made about $50 and the money went to charity! Still have pictures of that somewhere of me kissing 24 random people. Katie and Jesse are both in a band called Ghosthouse now, as well Katie is now in Cadeaux and Jesse is playing with Black Rice and Joel and the Last of the Neighbours. Anna lives in Victoria and runs her own buttons/badges business!

Cansei De Ser Sexy - Hollywood
Cansei De Ser Sexy
1 Boy - drums 7 Girls - everything else

Cansei De Ser Sexy ("Tired of Being Sexy" in Portugese) is probably the first and maybe the only band I will be playing from Brazil. I realised I know nothing about South American bands. What is the scene like down there? Anyway, CSS seems to be doing really well for themselves, they are mentioned all over the internet, played with 2 Many DJs, been recommended to Malcolm McLaren, just to name a few. What more for a band with 8 members!?
